Alan Goldfarb

Founder & Managing Partner

Alan is a Managing Partner of Orangewood Partners where he co-leads the firm’s investment and operational activities.

Prior to founding Orangewood Partners, Alan was a Managing Director and Head of Special Situations at Senator Investment Group (Senator). Prior to Senator, Alan was a founding member and Principal of The Carlyle Group’s (Carlyle) distressed and corporate opportunities fund (Carlyle Strategic Partners). Prior to Carlyle, Alan was an investment banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co.

Alan has served on several boards of directors (or equivalent) throughout his career including DLA, Pacific Bells, K2 Towers REIT, K2 Towers, Peaceable Street Capital, ABTB, George Industries, DFI Capital (Engs Commercial Finance), Diversified Machine, Inc., and Permian Holdings, Inc. Alan is currently a member of Miami University’s Farmer School of Business Advisory Council, a Co-instructor at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, and co-founder of Carlyle’s alumni group.

Alan graduated with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Miami University (Ohio); summa cum laude with University Honors.
